What it does
Recondiff is for bookkeepers and small finance teams reconciling a bank account. Add a bank statement CSV and a ledger CSV and it matches them in three passes: same amount and date, same amount within 3 days, then similar description. What is left is listed as bank only, ledger only or possible duplicate. The files are read in your browser and are not uploaded.
Capabilities
Two CSV files in
A bank statement CSV and a ledger CSV: Xero Account Transactions, a QuickBooks Online register or report, or any CSV with a date, an amount and a description. Columns, decimals and date formats are detected, and you can set them by hand.
Three matching passes
Same amount and date, then same amount within 3 days, then a similar description. The looser matches are marked so you can check them.
What is left, listed
Lines only in the bank, lines only in the ledger and possible duplicates. If the ledger signs are the opposite of the bank's, Recondiff reverses them and tells you it did.
Files stay in your browser
The matching runs in the page. The files are not uploaded, stored or logged. A pass or a monthly plan adds unlimited rows and Excel, CSV and PDF downloads.
